“Dolce Far Niente” – A Pleasant Afternoon in the Swan Valley

This afternoon we ventured out to the Swan Valley for a little R&R. It was a feast for the senses and a pleasant way to regain some creative inspiration. With camera in hand I happily snapped away at the beautiful scenery.

Following some wine tasting and a visit to Caversham House we dined at Sandalford Winery.

I’m putting this decadent afternoon down to a celebration of the beautiful Italian phrase “dolce far niente” (meaning: the sweetness of doing nothing or pleasant idleness)
